  • The key terms of the warranty for the StarCharge EV chargers are as follows:

    • The device is protected by a manufacturer’s warranty for 24 months from the date of delivery or commissioning (warranty period), unless otherwise agreed in writing with the authorised distributor.

    This warranty generally covers the repair or replacement of defective hardware components only.

    • The expected operational life of StarCharge AC chargers exceeds the standard warranty period when installed and operated in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

    • During the warranty period, StarCharge or its authorised service partner will, at its discretion, repair the charger, replace defective parts, or provide a replacement or refurbished unit, where a fault is confirmed to be due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

    • Warranty support may include remote technical troubleshooting and parts replacement, however site labour costs, removal, reinstallation, commissioning, and freight may not be included unless specifically covered under a separate service agreement.

    • Replacement equipment supplied under warranty may be new or refurbished equipment of the same or equivalent specification.

    • Any repaired or replaced unit will continue to be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

    Warranty Coverage

    The warranty applies to defects arising from:

    • Manufacturing faults
    • Defective components
    • Failures under normal operating conditions
    • Hardware malfunction not caused by external factors

    Warranty Exclusions

    The warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:

    • Incorrect installation or commissioning not in accordance with manufacturer instructions
    • Misuse, neglect, accident, vandalism or physical damage
    • Unauthorised repair, modification or tampering
    • Exposure to environmental conditions outside the product’s IP rating or operating specifications
    • Electrical supply issues including surges, unstable grid conditions or inadequate protection
    • Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, paint deterioration or label wear
    • Normal wear and tear over time

    Logistics and Return Process

    • Faulty equipment may need to be returned to an authorised StarCharge service centre or distributor for assessment.
    • Freight arrangements are typically the responsibility of the purchaser or installer, unless otherwise agreed.
    • Warranty claims should be submitted promptly upon fault detection, with supporting documentation including proof of purchase and commissioning details.

    Australian Consumer Law

    The benefits provided under this manufacturer’s warranty are in addition to rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

    For products supplied in Australia:

    • Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
    • Customers are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
    • Customers may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

    These consumer guarantees cannot be excluded or limited by the manufacturer or supplier.
