While the Ohme ePod can be installed in homes with solar, its approach is not centred on solar optimisation. It does not provide direct or native solar integration, and although it can utilise available solar energy, it primarily focuses on cost savings through time-of-use pricing rather than matching charging to excess solar generation.

The charger operates on Ohme’s proprietary platform and is not OCPP compliant, meaning it is not designed for integration with third-party charging networks or commercial systems.
